I am John the Quilter. Your tutorial was great. I used this ruler for the Barn Star Sampler quilt that I’m working on. The ruler allowed me to make accurate flying geese. Otherwise, my blocks were way off! I researched other rulers, but this one is the best. Thanks!

I love the Ultimate Flying Geese ruler! Because I had directional fabric, I didn’t use the 4 at a time method. I just cut my squares and rectangles 1/2 larger than the pattern and trimmed down. The next quilt I make that has flying geese will NOT be made using directional fabric!

I love this pattern! I just happen to have a layer cake of Coriander Colors too. Can't wait to make this. You did such a great job explaining the ruler. I've seen them but did not know how to use them until now. Thankyou!!

QUESTION: is there a FQ *bundle* for the Coriander Seeds line? I can only find yardage at FQS (and haven't done a thorough search in ETSY shops, figured I'd ask at the source).

I love the Ultimate Flying Geese ruler from Creative Grids. I think I got one during BH4 but I didn't start using it till Sewcialites 2 when I did a set of 3" blocks and OMG is it ever great for that! Before Sewcialites2 I was doing the 4 at a time method but trying to line up the 45-degree line on a regular ruler to trim them. This Ultimate Flying Geese ruler is so much easier! And THANK YOU for the free pattern; I love rainbows.

Oh nice!!! I just ordered a layer cake the other day, so now i have something to use it with! Thank you. I'm very new to you and your lines. I ran across Starberry at a quilt show last month. So nice!! 😍🤩. I bought 2 Starberry charm packs and 2 mini charms. Do you have any ideas on a pattern to use, if I add more background fabric? I picked up the Cuddle Up Sampler pattern and the Christmas Moose pattern last week. Great patterns! Thank you!

Layer cakes are my favorite precuts. They are perfect for appliqué. I should buy yards of the black polka dot and black stripe fabrics. I consider them basics!

Loved your demo on the Flying Geese ruler. I too don’t go in for buying every new ruler and tool that comes out but I have been curious about this ruler and wondering if it would be worth considering. Thanks Corey. Looking forward to making a quilt using this pattern.

Loved the quilt pattern. Question about one of mock ups. They were all cute, but I was instantly drawn to the one that had a border. If we did the quilt with the border, how big should we cut the pieces of fabric in order to make the border?
